1. Players and Parents will show respect to Coaches and Mentors at all times.

2. Excessive use of bad language will not be acceptable.

3. Referees decisions must be adhered to and referees treated with respect.

4. Bullying will not be tolerated.

5. Racial abuse or abuse of any kind will not be accepted.

6. Club colours must be worn at all times.

7. Respect must be shown to opposing teams and mentors/coaches at all times.

In order to implement this code, the following discipline procedures are in place. There will be three stages to the disciplinary procedure and each stage will be at the discretion of the Coach, Mentor or Club Committee.

Stage 1

A written report of the offence will be sent to the committee by the coach/mentor and notification will be sent to the parents/guardians.
Stage 2

A second report will be sent to the committee by the coach/mentor. The committee will send notification to the parents/guardians informing them that the next stage (stage 3) will involve suspension. The coach/mentor/committee may seek a meeting with the parents/guardians accompanied by the Child Welfare Officer.
Stage 3

The child, accompanied by the club's Child Welfare Officer and parents/guardians, must attend a meeting with the juvenile committee where the length of the suspension will be determined depending on the severity of the breach of the code.
Rule 2 Longwood Juvenile GAA Policy re Gumshields/Mouth Guards

It is now compulsory that MOUTH GUARDS are worn by all players during training sessions and games. Mouth/teeth injuries to players are not covered by GAA insurance scheme if he/she is not wearing a mouth guard. Furthermore, Longwood GAA will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a result of a dental injury which occurs during a training session or a match where a player was not wearing their gumshield/mouth guard. Your child will be asked to leave the field if a mouth guard is NOT worn. It is the player/parent's responsibility to ensure a mouth guard is worn.
