Longwood may have suffered defeat to Bective in the opening round of Corn Na Boinne but, after an interminable wait for some live action, everyone agreed it was just great to be back. With our U11 footballers hosting Dunsany prior to the senior match, there was a buzz of excitement around the club grounds for the first time in many months. We can only hope that our games are back for good.

Bective were deserved winners but Longwood showed some promise in patches with Sean Coloe, Aaron Ennis and Ryan Moore kicking some fine scores.

A special mention to Sean Crum, Tadhg Connolly and Liam Moroney who graduated from minor football last year and made their debut for our adult team this evening. Well done lads, there will be better days ahead!
