In this strangest of years, Meath's senior footballers launch their 2020 Leinster Championship campaign this Sunday (the second Sunday in November) with a potentially tricky visit to Aughrim where they will square up to a Wicklow team, buoyed by their recent promotion to Division 3.
That said, Meath will enter the game as warm favourites and, on all recent form, should secure victory and a place in the semi-finals. While Andy McEntee's charges suffered the pain of relegation from the top tier of the National League, they performed with credit in most games and the experience gained should stand them in good stead for the future.
The game is scheduled for 1.30 on Sunday afternoon and, while we cannot attend in person, we can at least follow the action live on GAAGo https://www.gaago.ie/fixture/PC5-20-F-LQF3
