U14 Football Cup Quarter-Final: Longwood 3-9 Ballivor 1-4

Longwood made home advantage count as they accounted for Ballivor in this evening's Cup Quarter-Final.

Despite spurning a number of chances, Longwood led for the most of the contest. Some excellent performances from captain Coyle O'Brien, goalkeeper David Dixon, Fionn Hannon and Daniel Donnelly-Fahey ensured "The Wood" qualified for their second semi-final of the season. This is a fine achievement for this young team, the vast majority of whom will be eligible for U14 again next season.

Longwood will travel Syddan in the semi-finals next week.

Longwood: David Dixon, Cian Colgan, Adam Peacock, Fionn Hannon, Conor Dixon (1-1), Cian O'Sullivan, Brian Stagg, Coyle O'Brien (Capt.), Conor M Dixon, Laoghaire Connolly (0-1), Evan Palmer, Ben McLoughlin (0-2), Malachy Fisher (1-5), Daniel Donnelly-Fahey (1-0).
