As notified earlier in the week, the club called an EGM on Wednesday evening, the purpose of which was to examine the possibility of replacing the Existing Trustees with a sole Trustee, being the GAA Corporate Trustees.
The case for the change was presented in a clear and succinct manner and agreement to proceed was unanimous.
It would be remiss of us not to recognise the sterling service of our club trustees down through the years. Their stewardship has delivered the club we have today, a club we can be rightfully proud of.
Our outgoing trustees, Michael "Stoney" Burke, Seamus Flynn and Pat Doherty deserve special mention. Club stalwarts to their core, it was fantastic to have all three men in attendance at our EGM. They have served the club with great distinction for many a year and we have no doubt they will continue to do so.
We are truly standing on the shoulders of giants.
