July, sunshine, championship……………well two out of three ain’t bad!
Our Senior Hurlers dip their toe in the Ted Murtagh sponsored championship this Saturday afternoon when they renew acquaintances with their old rivals from Blackhall Gaels.
The teams met in the group stages of last year’s championship with the men from Kilcloon & Batterstown running out convincing winners on that occasion.
Despite a disappointing loss in last week’s League final, Longwood will approach the game with a degree of confidence after stringing together a number of victories over the past couple of months.
But the boys will be well aware that league and championship are two completely different animals and a huge collective effort will be required on Saturday if they are to secure two precious points.

The game takes place on the hallowed turf of Páirc Tailteann with throw-in scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Please come out and support the lads, it really does make a difference.
