Saturday morning was typically busy at Longwood's GAA grounds as our U7, U9 and U11 Footballers hosted our visitors from Bective.

Unfortunately Bective could not muster enough players to field an U7 team but that did not deter our youngest team who were delighted to have the chance to play a game of football with their team mates.

Both teams had an abundance of U9 footballers, indeed there was enough to have two separate games running simultaneously.

The U11 game took place on our second pitch. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to secure and prepare the field . While the grass was a little long, this seemed to bother only the poor referee, the players took no notice and served up an excellent game of football. Longwood played very well for most of the contest and combined for some excellent scores.

Well done to all our young players and their dedicated mentors for serving up such a wonderful morning of football. There is plenty of talent in the pipeline!

Maigh Dearmhaí abú!!
