With temperatures dropping markedly over the past few days, it's hard to believe that the 2019 Meath Senior Football Championship will kick off this coming weekend.

For the first time in over 70 years, Longwood will be involved. The fruits of last year's glorious labour stand before us and we look forward to this adventure with hope and excitement.

Longwood have been drawn in Group B with Moynalvey, Summerhill, Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Ratoath and Rathkenny.

The opening round resembles a High Noon showdown as Longwood take on Ratoath on Sunday next, April 7th, @ 12.00 in Trim.

The team continues to give tremendous service to our club and community and they fully deserve our support.

We encourage everybody, young and old, to come out and cheer the boys on next Sunday.
