Longwood GAA brought the curtain down on what has been a truly remarkable year in the history of our club, with our presentation Dinner Dance in the Hamlet Court Hotel on Saturday night.

It gave supporters and club members the opportunity to once again show their appreciation and admiration for our heroic players who brought such fantastic success to the club, ensuring that 2018 will be a year never to be forgotten.

Our Intermediate Football Champions and Division 2 Hurling League Champions were presented with their medals on the night. Club stalwart Stoney Burke and loyal sponsor Garry Ennis (Summit Security) performed the honours.

Our 2018 Heroes:

Back Row (l-r) Jim Dorran, Michael McGuigan, David Flynn, Garry Ennis, Stoney Burke.

Middle Row (l-r): Tony Healy, Jim Mahon, Jarlath Cully, Damien Healy, Karl Ennis, Anthony Healy, Niall Mulvey, Eoin Lynch, Chris Lynch, Gary Heneghan, Proinsias Stagg, Enda Dixon, Gary Mongey.

Front Row (l-r): Gerard Ennis, Ray Dorran, Mickey Burke, Darragh Maguire, Ross Kerrigan, Aaron Ennis, Coran Byrne, Ryan Moore, Johnny Furey, Joey Stenson, Evan Coyle, Paul Gill.

A number of players were unable to attend the presentation but were rightly given mention and recognised for their efforts in bringing silverware to Longwood during the past season.

Longwood GAA Chairperson, Amanda Dixon, presented our Club Hurler of the Year award to Eoin Lynch and our Club Footballer of the Year to Ryan Moore. Well done lads!

The Management Team with the Midas touch!

Longwood's Three Wise Men: Enda Dixon, David Flynn and Michael McGuigan.

To the victors, the spoils!

Johnny Furey, captain of our Hurling League champions and Joey Stenson, captain of our IFC champions proudly display the respective winners' trophies.

Thanks to all our players and management team. You have given us so much, more than you will ever realise. Memories we will cherish for the rest of our days.

We look forward to cheering on the boys again in 2019 as they do battle in both the Senior Football and Hurling Championships.

Maigh Dearmhaí abú!
